Post-diagnostic support

Post-diagnostic support (adults)

Following assessment some individuals will explore medication as a means of managing their ADHD. Whilst this can be successful for lots of people it does not address the full range of difficulties that can be associated with ADHD such as time management, organisation, relationships, emotional regulation or any unhelpful patterns that you may have fallen into. Sessions are tailored to the needs of the individual but can be used to help…

  • Adjust to your diagnosis and understand what it looks like for you
  • Explore your emotional response to receiving this diagnosis
  • Explore your strengths and skills and how to utilise these
  • Explore your difficulties and develop ways to better manage these
  • Increase self-compassion and reduce shame

Please contact us or speak with your clinician following your assessment if you would like to enquire about post-diagnostic support.

Post-diagnostic support (children and young people)

Following assessment some individuals will explore medication as a means of managing their ADHD. Whilst this can be successful for lots of people it does not address the full range of difficulties that can be associated with ADHD such as time management, organisation, relationships, emotional regulation or any unhelpful patterns that your child may have fallen into. Sessions are tailored to the needs of the individual but can be used to help…

  • Support your child to understand their diagnosis and what it means for them
  • Help you as parents better understand your child and the support they might need
  • Consider behavioural strategies to better manage behaviour at home
  • Work with your child’s school to consider how they can be supported in the classroom and playground
  • Help improve your child’s self-esteem by focusing on their strengths and skills and how to utilise and celebrate these

Please contact us or speak with your clinician following your assessment if you would like to enquire about post-diagnostic support for you or your child.
